It was April Fools' Day and I was 13. I was at school and it felt wet down there and I didn’t think much of it. Fast forward to when I got home and used the bathroom. There was blood everywhere, so I went to tell my mom but she was at work!
My panicked self texted her saying, "I started my period and it’s not an April Fools’ Day joke!" When she got home, she came to my room and gave me a bag of my favorite candy and all the other stuff I needed!
