I was 11 at the time. It was Easter time and I was at my Gran’s house when it happened. So when I woke up, instead of running straight to my mother like I probably would have if I was at home—my mom always laughs at this part— I went to ask my Gran for help with my situation since I had no idea what was going on.
After my Gran called my mom to where we were, they explained it all to me.
