Lollipop or Period?

I went to the corner store after school because they had lollipops there that cost 98 cents. I always got a cherry lollipop. I dropped the lollipop on myself at one point, and I thought that's what the stain was on my white shorts.

When I got home, I went to the bathroom and saw red on the inside of my shorts. I was convinced that I had Mad Lollipop Disease and threatened to sue the owner of the corner store. Then I figured out it was my period, found a tampon and managed to insert it, and went on with my day. I was 10 years old.

Worst Graduation Gift

I got my period on the morning of my 8th grade graduation. The whole entire ceremony I was freaking out about staining my beautiful white dress.

At 9, I stashed the bloody undies and safeguarded a fresh pair with a wad of TP. Right before bed, Mom came home from work and stopped in to kiss my sister and I goodnight.
