I usually wear black pants to school, but one day I ran out so I wore some white ones. I went to the toilet at lunch time at school and I was covered in blood!!
I was on my period for 4 days before I noticed because I couldn’t see the blood!
September 28, 2017: the date of my first field hockey game. I was in fifth period science when I got up to get a tissue.
My teacher’s a male, but my female co-teacher pulled me aside and told me I had started my period. Long story short, I had to wear my short hockey skirt for the rest of the day.
On a Friday in 5th grade, we were shown a video about the male and female reproductive system. This was the first time I really learned about periods.
Literally the next day, we had a school field trip to Universal Studios. (I lived in Florida, so it was nearby.) After riding an upside-down rollercoaster, I thought I was just sweating from the heat.
At the hotel, I realized I had gotten my period. I couldn’t believe I got it the day after the video. I thought no one would believe me. Plus, I think I got it on the roller coaster, so I felt really cool. My mom was also the chaperone who was staying in the hotel room with us!
I was the first out of my friends, but I had my mom and was prepared from the day before. I considered myself very lucky!
