The Last One

It all began in the summer of 2017, the summer before 8th grade. I was 13 years old, and the last girl to get her period in my entire class. While I was watching Death Note on the TV, a show I was a fan of at the time, I was so excited to see the next episode...Until I walked out of the room for a drink and I felt a dampness in my blue skirt, presuming I must've sat in something, but having no idea what.

I was confused until I looked down...And there it was, blood. I was relieved I finally got it and took care of the pad situation myself. After all, I knew what to do more well than many other girls, this being a time I waited for. I told my friends all about it (we're all girls), and my best friend's first words about it? "You went into Death Note a girl and came out a woman."

Period Or Nah

I got my first period in 6th grade. I went to the bathroom and when I looked down, I saw brown stuff in my underwear. I wasn’t sure if it was my period or not so I started walking back to class and saw my friend in the hallway and told her. My friend took me to the bathroom and told me some signs of getting my period because her sister had it. I just went back to class since I wasn’t sure.

I was going to my grandparents for lunch and when I went there I texted my other friend that was not at school that day because she has her period. She told me I probably got my period and to use lots of toilet paper when I got back to school.

I went to the bathroom a little later and I saw bright red blood in my underwear so I knew I got my period. My friend gave me a panty liner but those are just meant for discharge/spotting so I bled through them quickly. When I got home, I sent my mom a text and told her and she gave me pads. That's my first period story!

Brown Bath

It was 1 in the morning when I woke up and had to pee. I went to the bathroom and when I wiped, there was brown, and A LOT of it. So I kept wiping and the brown finally slowed down.

I went downstairs, put on a pad, and went to sleep. Later, I woke up with a tub’s worth of brown on it. I honestly thought I pooped myself or something until a few hours later, I went to the bathroom again and there was red blood.
