I had an eating disorder that created various health issues, one of them being a delayed period.
My menstrual fluid decided to make an appearance when I was a junior in high school which was super exciting because it signified me getting healthier!
Summer break, I was visiting my dad and stepmom in Georgia. The only bathroom in the house was basically in the kitchen where my dad and his friends always hung out.
I started my period and had to have my stepmom come help me while my dad and his friends cheered from the kitchen table.
I was almost 13 years old, having holidays at my grandma's. I woke up feeling a bit weird and when I went to the loo, I saw a lot of blood on my underwear and pajamas.
I already knew about it. My Mom had explained something and also I have a bigger sister... My mom brought a gigantic pad for me. I felt like I was using a pillow between my legs. I would love to have started with the cloth pads that I use and sell these days...
