3 Pads a Day Keeps the Stains Away

I was wearing black underwear that day. I went to the bathroom at home because I felt wet. I looked in my underwear and saw that there were different color spots down there. So then, I decided to put a tissue in. It got heavier and so I wanted to tell my mom but... She was talking to other people on the phone.

I decided to go back upstairs and refused to come back down. She followed me up and asked me if I got my period. I said yeah and she gave me a hella bulky pad. She didn’t let me go to school the next day and gave me a lesson on what to do and what not to do. I went through like 10 pads in three days, 4 on the next two days...

Guessing Game

So my friend was walking with me to go get my other friend. We picked her up and started walking to Starbucks. I was feeling really sick. So when we got there one friend stayed outside with the dogs and another ordered with me. I went to the bathroom because I thought I was going to throw up. I pulled my pants down and the blood was like really dark. I knew that it was blood, I just didn't know that it would look like that.

I didn't really know what to do so I sat there for at least 20 minutes. I made a makeshift pad and got my drink. I sat at the table, my friend ordered and I thought how am I going to tell them and my mom and literally anyone ever?

We walked our friend back and then went home but I didn't tell my mom until the next day because she asked me if there was anything that I was stressed about. I just started laughing because I didn't know what to do. I didn’t say anything besides "ima ima w-" in between laughing. My mom thought I was crazy but she eventually guessed it.

Ready for Red

So I was barely 13. I had just turned it the week before. My best friend had gotten her period and I really wanted mine because so many people already had theirs.

So I went to the bathroom and didn’t see any red in my underwear, but instead saw red when I wiped. I got excited and told my best friend. Then went to her house and texted my mom from there because I was afraid to tell her.
